Putin's barbaric message to the world
The Russian attack on the hospitals in Kiev was precisely calculated. The Kremlin deliberately targeted the children's hospital: a deliberate war crime.
Anton Geraschenko, official adviser and former deputy minister in the Ukrainian Interior Ministry and former member of the Ukrainian parliament, provides an explanation of Putin's thinking: "Putin really believes that Russia is stronger than NATO because NATO is afraid of Russia, not the other way around. Putin says, "I have broken the existing system, there will be a new world order, let's talk about that."
He also sends a message to Ukrainians: "Surrender, no one will protect you, outside Russia only suffering and death awaits you."
To the West, Putin crosses all borders: hitting children with a missile while presiding over the UN Security Council. It is hard to imagine a clearer desecration of the international security system.
