Moscow launches Bulava, the powerful missile that could decide the war
After several tests, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the decree to put the powerful missile into service on 7 May.
The Bulava missile ('bulava' means 'mass' in Russian) can carry 6 to 10 warheads and has a range of 9,000 kilometres. The missile, 12 metres long, was just added to the arsenal of new weapons available to the Russian armed forces.
With a range of as much as 9000 kilometres, it is capable of bypassing the US missile defence shield. With this missile, the Russians can reach the United States and any European country.
This type of missile is launched from the sea, more specifically from the latest generation of nuclear submarines. According to Meduza, a total of 40 test launches have been carried out, seven of which have been deemed unsuccessful.
