Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, now deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council and above all Putin's right-hand man, has lashed out heavily at Western leaders.

"The chorus of irresponsible bast...rds among the Western elite calling for sending troops to this non-existent country is growing. It now includes members of the US Congress, the French and British governments, as well as a few lunatics from the Baltic states and Poland. They are also calling for the active use of their missiles."

Medvedev continued his polemical message:
"This is not a spring exacerbation, but a cynical calculation, there is a kind of total degradation of the Western ruling class going on, this class really does not want to make logical connections between elementary points. For us, sending their troops to Ukraine means the direct involvement of their countries in a war, and we will have to respond."

"In that case, none of them will be able to hide, neither on Capitol Hill, nor in the Elysée Palace, nor in 10 Downing Street."

"This is something Kennedy and Khrushchev understood more than 60 years ago, and something the infantile idiots in power in the West today do not want to understand."

And he repeated his firm threat:
"Therefore, the General Staff has begun preparations for military exercises, which includes training in the preparation and use of non-strategic nuclear weapons."
