Astronomical price tag on Russian attacks this week

Russia's massive airstrikes on Ukraine this week cost Moscow nearly 1.2 billion euros. So says James Kariuki, the British representative to the United Nations.

The Kremlin dispatched drones and missiles on more than half of Ukraine's regions, carrying out one of the largest airstrikes of the war so far. At least seven people were killed and power plants got damaged in the process. But for the Russians, that comes at a high price.

James Kariuki also said the “cowardly” attacks cost the Kremlin nearly 1.3 billion dollar, or nearly 1.2 billion euros. The figures come from a report by Forbes Ukraine and Ekonmichna Pravda. “The consequences of Putin's miscalculation for the Russian people are becoming increasingly clear,” he added.
