Arrest warrant for Russian influencer who threw baby in snow
Well-known influencer Sergei Kosenko posted a video on his social media showing how he threw his two-month-old baby into a pile of snow. But that video, which went completely viral, is now getting particularly unpleasant consequences.
Sergei Kosenko is now accused by a Moscow court of “attempted intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm on a minor” and “failure to fulfill his duties of raising a minor.” Consequently, Russian police issued a warrant for the man's arrest. At the request of the investigating judge, Kosenko's bank accounts in Russia were also frozen. According to local media, he is said to have as much as 206 million rubles (nearly 2 million euros) at his disposal, which is spread across 46 accounts. If Kosenko is arrested, he risks a prison sentence of up to 10 years.
Mr. Thank You, as Kosenko is known on social media, shared the remarkable images in 2024 with his 46.5 million followers. Kosenko himself claims he used a doll for the video and then edited the footage to make it look as real as possible to his followers.
