Pro-Palestinian activist blunders with theft of Greek flags from restaurant facade
The conflict between Israel and Hamas is stirring emotions around the world. Even in New Jersey, people feel the need to take action or make their voices heard. Only, not every activist appears to be as informed.
With deep shame, an overactive pro-Palestinian activist said “sorry” Wednesday when she pulled all the flags from a Greek restaurant. When the patrons made it clear to her that these were Greek flags and not Israeli ones, she realized her embarrassing gaffe.
“I won't put up with this,” the woman ranted. “A genocide is taking place and I don't support Zionists.” But employees of the Greek restaurant Efi's Gyros in New Jersey soon made it clear to her that they had nothing to do with it at all. “Is that for real? Sorry, I thought it was the Israeli flag. My mistake,” she echoed.
