New law implies that women remain silent in public
The Taliban regime in Afghanistan has issued a new hateful law. From now on, women are no longer allowed to speak to each other in public. Even during prayer, their voices must be completely muted!
The fate of women in Afghanistan has reached a new level of absurdity and terror, after the ban on singing and all other restrictions on education, clothing (obligatory wearing of the burqa), health and social life. The Taliban Minister for the “Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice”, Mohammad Khalid Hanafi, has issued a new law gagging Afghan women even more. Since October 26, 2024, they are no longer allowed to speak in public at all, even among themselves. In fact, women’s voices can no longer be heard in public places, even when they are among women. This even includes places of prayer. They are required to pray in a whisper. This sinister minister declared that women’s voices were “awrah”, that is to say shameful and must be hidden!
