Dutchman Joost Klein thrown out of Eurovision Song Contest.
Don't look for Joost Klein in the Eurovision Song Contest final on Saturday night as the Netherlands was disqualified in the nick of time.
The EBU took this remarkable decision following an incident involving Klein on Thursday night.
Swedish police are conducting an investigation into the incident, in which Klein allegedly verbally threatened a female staff member.
It is the first time in the history of the Eurovision Song Contest that a candidate has been disqualified during the event.
Dutch broadcaster AVROTROS, which delegated Joost Klein to Malmö, called the decision by Eurosong organiser EBU "disproportionate", saying the broadcaster is "shocked by the decision".
