Manhunt in Brussels metro tunnels
Following Kalashnikov shots at dawn, several metro stations and tram lines are closed in Brussels this Wednesday, February 5, 2025. Special forces are tracking the suspects in the tunnels near the Gare du Midi.
6:15am. In the cold of February, a Kalashnikov shootout shook the Gare du Midi district in Brussels (Belgium). There were no injuries, but the police in the Belgian capital are on a manhunt. The shooting took place near the Clémenceau metro station. Surveillance cameras show men firing weapons before fleeing through the metro entrance. The suspects then allegedly hid in the tunnels of the metro and tram lines. The Brussels, federal and railway police, as well as special forces, are on site and are working together to try to intercept the perpetrators of the shooting. There are no reported casualties following the shooting.
