"Gunman didn't shoot"
The suspect arrested Sunday after being spotted with guns on Donald Trump’s golf course “did not fire,” according to the U.S. Secret Service.
It wasn’t clear at first. The Secret Service saw the barrel of the gun stick out of a bush and open fire. Acting Secret Service Director, Ronald Rowe, says that “the suspect, who had no line of sight to the former president, fled. He did not fire.” Ryan Wesley Routh fled the scene, first on foot and then by car, but was caught on the highway shortly afterward. So far, it appears he acted alone.
