'Europe's Most Wanted' drug lord finally arrested
Drug baron Fejzulla Haredin (59), of Albanian origin, was put in handcuffs in Madrid.
This top member of the Albanian mafia was on the list of “Europe's Most Wanted” criminals. He has yet to serve a 29-year prison sentence in Belgium.
Spanish police report that the man, along with family members, heads a Kosovar-Albanian criminal organization. Three European arrest warrants had been issued against the fugitive drug lord, each asking for extradition to Belgium, where he is wanted for 13 counts of drug trafficking, membership in a criminal organization and forgery of documents.
