End of the world: they're already building luxury bunkers

The most powerful in the world only have one obsession: to build bunkers under their vast properties. A trend that has been greatly accelerated by the Covid-19 crisis and which continues to fuel the creativity of companies specializing in this type of architecture, very unique it must be said!

One of the craziest projects developed and built by the company SAFE (Strategically Armored & Fortified Environments)? A fortress on an island in the United States, no less. “Theoretically proofed against a nuclear strike, it's protected by a moat filled with a flammable liquid that can transform into a “wall of fire”, but also by water cannons (still theoretically) capable of shooting down helicopters – in case the threat comes from the sky,” reports Korii. Mark Zuckerberg can go get dressed in his “little” Hawaiian bunker.

Al Corbi, head of SAFE, explains that in this style of fortress, it's possible to try jet-skiing in the moat and have fun avoiding the water cannons. “Cannons that can also generate rainbows for a barbecue or make fake rain fall on a day that's too dry.” And we don’t stop there since in some high-end bunkers, tunnels, ships, helicopters and other machines are available for emergency evacuation. Let’s not forget the medical rooms with operating rooms and decontamination airlocks…

Come on, we’re still hanging on a little with the announcement of the cost of such a project: between 500,000 and 10 million dollars, or between 462,000 and 9.24 million euros! At that price, we really hope they survive the (possible) end of the world!
