Trump knew everything…
Donald Trump has revealed that Vladimir Putin confided in him about his desire to invade Ukraine, according to the British newspaper The Telegraph.
The current Republican candidate for the presidential election claimed in a speech in Oaks, Pennsylvania, that the Russian leader would never have attacked his neighbor if he were still president, as the two had a cordial relationship.
"I get along very well with Putin. It was the apple of his eye he used to talk about it, but I said 'you’re not going in,’" he told the crowd.
The billionaire emphasized that he also has a good relationship with Volodymyr Zelenskyy and that he could end the conflict, which began in February 2022, even before being re-elected.
"Biden has done nothing about it - he hasn’t even spoken to Putin in over a year. This is a war that has to end and I’m going to get that war ended...I’m going to try to get that war ended as president elect, " he explained.
These remarks come as journalist Bob Woodward revealed in his latest book War that the former U.S. leader continued to have private discussions with the Russian president, even after leaving the White House.
He claims that the two men have exchanged at least seven times since 2021.
