This country now bans migrants
Poland is seeking to prevent migrants from applying for asylum in the country.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk recently announced a series of measures to strengthen border control in an effort to curb migration, arguing that this temporary ban will allow Warsaw to "regain 100% control over who enters Poland."
Since his return to power, Donald Tusk has surprised many by implementing a more aggressive approach to migration.
The former President of the European Council justified this controversial measure by pointing to Belarus, particularly criticizing the Russian ally for failing to control its borders and even encouraging migrants to attempt crossing into Poland.
However, other European countries, such as Germany, France, and Denmark, have also recently adopted more hostile policies towards migrants.
In a speech at his party’s convention, Civic Platform, in Warsaw, the Polish Prime Minister said: "If someone wants to come to Poland, they must respect Polish standards, Polish customs, they must want to integrate. If there are too many people of other cultures, then the native culture feels threatened."
