Taylor Swift changes tune and supports Trump?
To gain attention, Donald Trump dares anything, or almost anything... Fake news, exaggerations, distortions, he never tires. A few days ago, the Republican candidate struck another cord by broadcasting false images generated by AI.
Retouched images suggest that the international pop star, Taylor Swift, would support him in the race for the presidency of the United States. However, the American singer has not, for the moment, shown her support for any candidate. What's for more, she actively supported Joe Biden during the 2020 presidential elections, accusing Trump of “fanning the flames of white supremacism and racism throughout (his) term.”
Last September, the young woman, extremely influential, called on her millions of subscribers on Instagram to register to vote. Her influence is powerful (and undeniable) and the former White House tenant is well aware of this. Recently, he broadcasted several images generated by artificial intelligence on his Truth Social platform in order to rally the singer's fans (the swifties) to his cause. One of them shows the singer, dressed as Uncle Sam, asking her fanbase to vote 'Trump'. In this roundabout way, the Republican candidate suggests that Swift supports his campaign.
Expert in digital investigation at the University of California, Hany Farid, affirmed that the image was either “generated by AI or simply manipulated in a classic way”, reports La Dépêche.
