Executions by hanging and guillotine: Trump's appalling agenda
According to some sources, Trump's agenda could include the return of firing squads and their public broadcast. Another proof, if it were necessary, of the former President's love for shocking and ever more extravangant statements.
These latest revelations about Trump's potential plans in the event of a re-election are nevertheless quite frightening. Three sources have told Rolling Stone magazine that “the former U.S. president has reportedly asked his advisers about the return of firing squads and other shocking execution methods,” reports The Daily Digest. He would even consider broadcasting live footage, focusing on the last moments of prisoners' lives.
The same magazine adds further detail: “Specifically, Trump has talked about reinstating killing by firing squad, hanging and, according to two of the sources, possibly even guillotine.”
Frightening for some or normal for others, these statements are in any event rather “consistent” with Trump's discourse about how criminals should be treated.
