Images of the assassination attempt on Donald Trump are quickly spreading around the world. The mind blowing footage shows Trump reaching for his ear and immediately diving away. Meanwhile, panic breaks out in the audience behind him as Secret Service agents risk their lives to lead the Republican presidential candidate off the stage.

Presidential candidate Donald Trump was giving a speech on border crossings in Butler, Pennsylvania, when shots were suddenly fired. A gunman fired eight rounds at the Republicans' campaign event, wounding several people. One spectator was killed. Donald Trump was also targeted by the gunman. In the commotion that followed, security guards could be seen trying to lead Trump off the stage as quickly as possible. He had a splash of blood on his face. 

Meanwhile, it is clear that Trump took a bullet to the ear and is doing well given the circumstances.

Special Services did confirm at a press conference that it was an "attempted assassination attempt." The man who attempted an assassination attempt on Donald Trump would have been a registered Republican. The man in question, according to U.S. media, is 20-year-old Matthew Crooks of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania. 

According to FBI agent Kevin Rojek, it was "surprising" that the gunman was able to fire multiple shots at Donald Trump before he was killed by the Secret Service. "More details will surface after the investigation," he stressed.
