Why was Nicki Minaj arrested at Schiphol Airport?
US rapper Nicki Minaj was normally due to perform in Manchester on Saturday night. However, that concert was cancelled at the last minute because the rapper was detained at Schiphol airport in the Netherlands on Saturday afternoon.
She performed in Amsterdam on Thursday night and was normally supposed to play in Manchester on Saturday. But so that concert of her Pink Friday 2 World Tour could not go ahead.
Indeed, the 41-year-old artiste was arrested for possession of soft drugs at Schiphol Airport. She was released again the same day. "I love you guys and I am so sorry this happened," Minaj addressed her fans in a video on social media.
