“Angelina is exhausted but relieved”
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have reached a divorce settlement after an eight-year legal battle. The actors had been living apart since 2016.
In 2016, their marriage was dissolved, but not legally, due to the actress' divorce action.
Angelina Jolie had accused Brad Pitt of choking one of their children and hitting another, as well as spilling beer and wine on them, during an argument on a private flight that year. Since then, the two actors have been engaged in an intense legal battle that has just seen the light of day.
According to Jolie's lawyer, James Simon, speaking to People magazine: “More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt. She and the children left all the property they shared with Mr. Pitt, today Angelina is exhausted, but relieved that this part is over.”
