Mercedes-AMG's creating something crazy, without a roof

A new ultra-sporty Mercedes-AMG roadster is in the works. It's directly derived from the radical PureSpeed concept. Prototypes are undergoing their final road tests, under their usual camouflage.

A concept that becomes a car for the road is quite rare. Especially something this radical. However, the Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed unveiled in Monaco in May 2024 will indeed become reality. The “mule” prototypes have already covered more than 3,000km on varying road to validate the development program. This radical roadster is a high-performance, two-seater, completely open car, without a roof or windshield. In addition to testing on open roads, the prototypes were also driven on the Nardò circuit (Italy) for very high-speed tests.

Exclusive Series

The two-seater doesn't have an A-pillar, but a Halo system just like the single-seaters in competition. To be able to drive this racing car, it's best to wear an aerodynamically optimized helmet. From then on, the driver and passenger will have additional protection designed and produced exclusively for the Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed. This model will only be produced in 250 units.
