Colleagues lock employee in lions' enclosure
A particularly bad joke?
A remarkable incident occurred last week at the zoo in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Two staff members entered the room together when the group of lions were in their den. One staff member left the room and locked it, allowing the lions to roam freely while the colleague had nowhere to go.
The person left with the lions - it is not clear for how long - was said to be part of a training program for young and unemployed people aged 50 to 64, reports the Belfast Telegraph.
The city government is investigating the facts and cannot share further details about this high-profile incident for now. In any case, the man was not injured, but clearly escaped tragedy.
