Belgian firefighters in trouble during raclette evening
In Belgium, a raclette evening in a fire station ended in a fight between firefighters. The alcohol increased the pressure and the fight broke out between a warrant officer and sergeants.
The incident took place at a party at the Plateau firefighters in Battice, Belgium. Just think, a raclette evening was enough to set the fire station on fire! But apparently, the white wine, meat and cheese weren't digested well. Unless it was the beer and the onions. In any case, at the very end of the evening, while part of the party wanted to end it, others didn't agree.
Without the police
Tempers raised in between those who wanted a not-too-late night and those seeing much-later bedtimes. With alcohol acting as a catalyst, intense discussions started to ignite, with words finally giving way to fighting between non-commissioned officers. Other firefighters reportedly managed to intervene and end the fight. The police were not called, but an internal investigation is underway.
