Too many pears? Try this recipe
Perhaps you remember those delicious stewed pears that your grandmother used to make and served with a nice roast, or just as a dessert or snack. Simply delicious!
How to make delicious stewed pears
Required for 4 people: 14 stewed pears – 1 bottle of red wine – 250g sugar – 1 lemon cut into 4 – 1 cinnamon stick
Get to work:
Peel the pears, halve them and remove the core. Sprinkle them with the lemon juice.
Take a pan with a thick bottom and fry them briefly on both sides in the butter. Sprinkle with the sugar and stir. Then let them caramelize slightly. Deglaze with a cup of water and cover. Let the pears stew for 30 to 40 minutes (or longer if necessary). Make sure the pears are soft, but not falling apart.
Serve warm or cold.
Tip: you can also add red wine, port, etc. while stewing.
It's also nice if you leave the stem on the pear: they look amazing!
