Trump of Harris? It's all the same to Putin
Russia has no illusions about possible changes in US policy towards Russia after the November presidential elections, whoever the new US President may be.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova declared at a press conference: "Whatever the democratic outcome of the American elections (...) Russophobia and the assessment of Russia as an existential enemy of the United States are an integral part of their doctrine. Consequently, we can have no illusions about the American electoral political theatre."
The spokeswoman described as "not very transparent" the situation surrounding US President Joe Biden's decision to withdraw from the election campaign after "caving in, obviously under pressure, to Vice President (Kamala) Harris".
