"Putin is in danger"
In both camps, drone attacks are daily occurrences these days. On the Ukrainian side, the military is increasingly conducting offensives in the Novgorod oblast in northwestern Russia, where the residence of the Kremlin chief is located.
Ukrainian forces are targeting specific targets in enemy territory, forcing Russia to strengthen its air defenses. According to ISW, The Institute for the Study of War, reported by Midi Libre, on May 6, "at least seven Pantsir-1 air defense systems around Vladimir Putin's luxurious villa" were captured on footage. This special equipment can destroy drones, planes and helicopters at short and medium range.
Is Putin in danger?
According to the ISW, these defense systems are just a trick, as Ukrainian drones can easily bypass them. Moreover, Russia does not have enough of them to protect this region of the country. "The army even struggles to defend the best protected areas of the country," the institute emphasizes.
