"Only a madman like Putin is capable of such heinous murder and terror"
Volodimir Zelenski said Ukraine needs adequate air defences and real decisiveness to effectively protect the lives of its people.
"Russian terrorists cannot come near our borders. We need to prevent terrorist attacks like the one in a hypermarket this weekend".
The Ukrainian president wanted to show his gratitude:
"I thank all leaders who really listen to us and understand that every decision in favour of Ukraine is aimed at protecting and saving lives. Of course, if we had more adequate and modern air defence and aviation systems, the Russian air fleet would be defeated in the same way as the Black Sea fleet. And Russian terrorism would simply be impossible, shooting down Russian warplanes, missiles and drones is real peacekeeping."
And he concludes: "The Russian attacks on Kharkiv are a new example of Russian madness, there is no other way to describe it, only madmen like Putin are capable of killing and terrorising people in such a gruesome way."
