Also Ukraine starts sending prisoners to the front line
Earlier this month, a law was introduced in Ukraine to send convicts to the front. However, the most serious criminals are not eligible to go to fight against the Russians in exchange for release.
Meanwhile, a Ukrainian tribunal has "released" the first two prisoners to go fight with the armed forces in the war against Russia.
These are two detainees convicted of theft who have now been handed over by the prison to the National Guard of Ukraine by order of the tribunal.
It is reported that 3,000 convicts in Ukraine have already signed up to serve in exchange for their parole.
