Starbucks opens unique café in South Korea with a perfect view of North Korea
Starbucks has opened a new branch in South Korea with a remarkable feature: the café offers a direct view of North Korea.
According to CNN, the American coffee chain launched the new location last week in an eco-park in Gimpo, a city 30 kilometers north of Seoul.
The café has been packed since its opening, as it occupies a former observation tower that overlooks the Jo River and offers a clear view of North Korea on the opposite bank.
"I wish I could share this delicious coffee with the people living in North Korea, right in front of us," said one of Starbucks’ first customers at the location.
Meanwhile, North Korea is planning to reopen its borders to tourists next year, aiming to attract thousands of international visitors.
