Grandpa buried alive: he screamed for help for 4 days
Initially, police in Glodeni (northwest Moldova) were investigating the mysterious death of a 74-year-old woman. The case soon took a different turn when muffled screams were heard in the suspect's garden.
On May 13, police were called to the home of a 74-year-old woman who had been found dead. A suspect was quickly apprehended and arrested the same day. Who was he? A relative of the deceased, also living in the village.
The 18-year-old murder suspect was found drunk in his home. When they searched his house, police officers heard "screams coming from the garden downstairs."
The officers could not prepare for what they would find there. At the end of the lot, they discovered a "makeshift safe" in which a 62-year-old man had been locked up. For four days, from the time he was buried until police arrived, he screamed for help.
The man in his 60s, who had suffered a severe neck injury, says a violent argument broke out between him and the 18-year-old suspect, a relative. "The boy brandished a knife and stabbed the 62-year-old, who then lost consciousness. Thinking he was dead, "his attacker decided to bury him in his garden," reports 7sur7. The day after this already terrible act, the teenager allegedly decided (for a yet unknown reason) to kill the elderly woman.
The young man is now charged with murder and attempted murder. He faces a life sentence.
