Scandal in mosque: "men with men, with several people and even with animals!"
A scandal has broken out at the Diyanet mosque in Tessenderlo, Flanders. The reason? Last summer, a homophobic sermon was delivered there. Violent, imposing, without restraint.
A sermon that reduces all chances of official recognition of the mosque, said Flemish Interior Minister Gwendolyn Rutten. The religious discourse has been confirmed by several sources. Here are some excerpts: "Nowadays, it is no longer only men who make love with men. But also women with women. But also men with men, in groups, even with animals. (...) There is such a perversion, such a perversion. But we don't react. We don't fight. They impose this perversion on us and we continue not to react to it."
At the request of the Flemish minister, the department in charge of monitoring local religious communities opened an investigation. According to Rutten, there is therefore no question of any official recognition of this mosque.
