Ex-pro cyclist became king of crypto fraud: he is now in jail!
Flemish former professional cyclist S.V. (45) is currently in jail in Spain on suspicion of fraud worth millions.
The ex-rider, who was once still on the team with former world champion Tom Boonen, allegedly headed a criminal organization that defrauded victims worldwide of as much as 24 million euros through a scam with crypto currencies.
Through videos, the former rider tried to convince people to invest "risk-free". They had to trust him and believe his system, it sounded. But he and his gang made off with the pennies of gullible investors. He now risks a 10-year prison sentence for fraud and money laundering.
