Trump puts Zelensky down and suddenly dances to Putin's tune
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has lashed out harshly at the Ukrainian president following his visit to the United States.
“Ukraine no longer exists. There was civilization but now there is no heritage. Almost everything has been destroyed. Millions and millions of people died.” Trump spoke these harsh words Wednesday night during a meeting in Mint Hill North Carolina. And he implied that this situation was Zelensky's fault.
“Ukraine, you will never be able to rebuild your cities and towns to what they once were. There was civilization, now there is no heritage. There will never be enough money to rebuild Ukraine even if the whole world pulls together.” And still: “If Harris wins, even more Ukrainians will die and cities will fall.”
That the situation is hopeless, according to Trump, is due to Zelensky, who refused to cut a deal with Putin and “give something up.” “Any bad deal with Putin is still better than no deal at all,” he concluded.
By the way, Trump did not talk at all about the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
And Trump also personally lashed out at the Ukrainian president. “Every time he visited our country, he walked away with 60 billion dollar. He has to be the best salesman in the world. And what did it achieve? The country has been completely wiped off the map. There is really nothing left for the Ukrainian people to return to. And it shouldn't have happened. But those buildings lie and rubble and those cities are gone. We keep giving money to a man who refuses to make an agreement, Zelensky.”
