“The head of the Kremlin lives in a parallel world” (M. Yakovleff)
General Michel Yakovleff, former NATO Vice-Chief of Staff, gives us his personal opinion on Vladimir Putin's psychology.
For Michel Yakovleff, one of the explanations for Putin's behavior is linked to his psychology:
“I believe that if a psychoanalyst deconstructs the character (Putin), we'll discover lots of things.”
“During the Second World War, there was an excellent study on Hitler's psychoanalysis, which turned out to be premonitory in saying that he was going to commit suicide.”
“And the best example to compare Putin to is Hitler.”
For General Yakovleff: “Putin is someone different in the way he comes to power, it's pure power, it has nothing to do with Russia's prosperity, with the happiness of its people, with the peace and tranquility of its neighbors, his motivation is pure power.”
