Kim Jong Un ready to strike back

Kim Jong Un has threatened to use nuclear warheads if North Korea's sovereignty is threatened by the United States or South Korea.

The North Korean leader made his comments shortly after South Korea’s Armed Forces Day celebration, during which the country unveiled its military arsenal, including a new missile capable of destroying underground bunkers.

During the event, South Korean president Yoon Suk Yeol warned that the North Korean regime would be annihilated if Kim Jong-un chose to deploy nuclear weapons.

According to the state-run KCNA news agency, the leader said that any violation of the country's sovereignty would prompt a response, including the unhesitating use of "all the offensive forces it has possessed, including nuclear weapons."

South Korea does not possess nuclear weapons but is protected by the United States, with thousands of troops stationed in the country since the end of the Korean War in 1953.

Kim Jong Un also stated that Washington and Seoul aimed to destroy "regional security and peace," as reported by KCNA.
