Emergency in the US: "Snipers deployed to secure polling stations"
As the final stretch of the battle between Democrats and Republicans heats up, tensions have escalated with exchanges of insults. According to political analysts, few can recall an election campaign as intense and violent as this one.
This violence has resulted in numerous small incidents across the country. In states like Oregon and Washington, hundreds of ballots have already been destroyed in fires.
Poll workers have been threatened, with some even receiving death threats. Security has been increased, especially in Arizona, where snipers have reportedly been stationed at polling sites. Armed guards are also securing the entrances to voting locations.
In Washington, D.C., security measures have been reinforced around the Capitol and the White House, with barricades set up around official buildings. Just days ago, a simulation exercise involving helicopters was conducted at the Capitol to prepare for potential unrest.
The United States is bracing for one of the closest elections in its history, as Kamala Harris and Donald Trump go head-to-head.
