American and British mountaineers saw life flash by in Himalayas

It was three anxious days for two mountaineers who got stuck in a plight in the Himalayan mountains. The British and American were stuck without a tent and food on a steep mountainside.

Fay Manners from Bedfordshire, Britain, and her American climbing partner Michelle Dvorak went missing while climbing Mount Chaukhamba in northern India. Indeed, they lost all their equipment when a loose rock cut the rope to which everything was attached. Consequently, they thought their last hour was up, in these extremely difficult conditions at an altitude of 6,000 meters. Without safety gear, tent, food, fire, lamp.... Fortunately, they had managed to save one sleeping bag. And this one turned out to be much needed to survive at night. When it began to snow, they took shelter under it.

Fortunately, they managed to send out an alarm. However, rescue teams found them only after three days! The rescue helicopter flew over them numerous times and did not see them at first. Both ladies were completely hypothermic, exhausted and near the end. Thanks to the brave rescue team and the help of two French climbers who brought them food and helped them down, the American and British climbers could still be brought to safety after three anxious days. They survived this tricky situation and come away with a scare.
