More environmental friendly travel option between Berlin and Paris
From now on, you can travel every day by high-speed train from the German capital to the French capital and back.
The daily connection carried out by Deutsche Bahn's ICE high-speed trains will take eight hours. The high-speed trains will depart from Berlin at 11:54 a.m. (local time) and arrive in Paris at 7:55 p.m. (local time). Departure from Paris is scheduled at 9:55 a.m. (local time), with arrival in Berlin at about 6:03 p.m. (local time). Along the way there will be stops in Frankfurt, Karlsruhe and Strasbourg.
With this new high-speed train connection, fewer people might choose the more polluting option by air. A train ride between the two capitals emits 2 kilograms of CO2 per passenger, compared to 200 kilograms for air travel, according to the two rail companies.
