Do you have a drinking problem?

Are you having trouble controlling your drinking?

There is nothing wrong with enjoying an aperitif or a nice glass of wine, but it shouldn't be too extreme. Do you ever wonder whether you are drinking just a little too much, or whether your partner might be suffering from a drinking problem? Then check whether you recognize these 5 signs:

You need more drinks than before
You feel like you need more drinks to feel good. This is because your body is increasingly able to handle alcohol, but also because there is an increasing habit.

Guilt
If you always feel guilty after drinking a glass of wine, this is a serious sign that you are struggling with a drinking problem. Don't be ashamed and confide in someone and talk about it.

You can't stop drinking
Most people sense when they need to stop drinking because they get sleepy and the need for a drink decreases. Do you find it difficult to stop or do you already feel the need for a drink in the morning? This is a sign that you are becoming dependent on alcohol. It is best to contact your GP.

You keep on drinking
If you continue to drink despite the symptoms of harmful effects, then your drinking has become a bad habit. Contact your GP!

You ignore advice
Has your partner or your friends already told you several times that you drink too much, and you ignore this advice? Then you definitely have a drinking problem! Seek professional help.
