"We will achieve all our goals in Ukraine"
On the second anniversary of Russia's annexation of four Ukrainian regions, Russian President, Vladimir Putin, said "all the goals set will be achieved" in conflict-ridden Ukraine.
"The truth is on our side. All the goals set will be achieved," he said in a video congratulating the Russian people on 'Reunification Day' which is celebrated in Russia on September 30.
Two years ago, Vladimir Putin signed and formalized the annexation of Ukraine's eastern Donetsk and Lugansk regions and southern Zaporizhzhya and Kherson. These regions, which Moscow only partially controls, voted to join Russia in referendums that neither Kiev nor the international community recognizes.
