Vladimir Putin wants to send even more men to their deaths
Vladimir Putin is planning to draft an additional 133,000 men to send to the front lines in Ukraine this fall.
The Russian president recently signed a new decree allowing the recruitment of any man aged 18 to 30, as reported by the Kyiv Independent.
Moscow has been forced to relocate troops stationed in eastern Ukraine to the Kursk region in Russia, where the Ukrainian army made a significant breakthrough. In the meantime, Russian forces are attempting to gain ground on the eastern Ukrainian front.
Last April, Volodymyr Zelenskyy legally lowered the minimum conscription age from 27 to 25 to replenish the ranks of the Ukrainian army, which has been decimated after more than two years of fighting.
Meanwhile, Vladimir Putin has recently reiterated that Russia will achieve its objectives in Ukraine.
