Threatening Putin pledges to turn Ukraine ‘to dust’

Vladimir Putin has pledged to reduce Ukraine "to dust" by unleashing his new ballistic missiles on the neighboring country.

The Russian president had already hinted that his Oreshnik missiles would be fired again at Ukraine, especially after Ukrainian forces used long-range American and British missiles on Russian territory.

In a speech delivered from Kazakhstan during a state visit, the Russian leader promised to accelerate the production of intercontinental ballistic missiles.

Last week, Russia launched a medium-range intercontinental ballistic missile named Oreshnik for the first time, targeting the city of Dnipro. Vladimir Putin claimed that this missile has no equivalent anywhere in the world.

"The missile is striking even highly protected and located at great depths of objects…. The power of this blow will be comparable with the use of nuclear weapons, although the weapons of mass destruction of the Oreshnik are of course not nuclear," he said.

"In stock today we have several ready-made products of this kind. And, of course, the continuing blows on the territory of Russia of large-range missiles of Western production, as already mentioned, we will answer, including a possible continuation of the test of Oreshnik in combat conditions, as was done on November 21," he warned.
