"The West and its puppets have been punished by Oreshnik, the more they test us, the more they hit us with their artificial teeth, Russia will win," he said.
These statements are part of the Kremlin's propaganda rhetoric and more political than military in the direction of the West.
In response to the green light given by Joe Biden for the use of long-range American weapons, Russia struck Ukraine last Thursday with the famous Oreshnik medium-range missile, which could therefore reach European capitals in a few minutes.
But analysts believe that Russia's reaction is measured and controlled. Moscow had even warned the United States 30 minutes before the launch, specifying that there were no nuclear charges on the missile.
"The alert was sent automatically 30 minutes before the launch," Peskov said, adding that Moscow was maintaining "constant communication" with the United States on the nuclear weapons issue.
