The Russians are taking big steps

On Friday, Russian armed forces claimed to have taken control of two more villages in eastern Ukraine.

These two villages are located in key areas of the front line, close to Pokrovsk and Kurakhove, towns where the Ukrainian army is unable (or barely able) to halt Russian advance.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the town of Poustynka has been conquered, some 10 kilometers south of Pokrovsk, a town essential to the Ukrainian army's logistics because of its coke mine, reports 20 Minutes

According to the Ministry of Defense, Russian troops have also taken control of the village of Sukhi Yaly, south-west of Kurakhove. This is a strategic town, as it lies close to a major deposit of lithium, a relatively rare alkaline material.
