Putin alerts Trump to life-threatening danger
“US President-elect Donald Trump's life is still in danger,” his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, told Russian media on Thursday after his visit to Kazakhstan.
“The methods of fighting Trump were totally uncivil, including repeated assassination attempts. In my opinion, he's still in danger,” he said, recalling that ‘a lot has happened in the United States’.
However, he added: “Trump is an intelligent and quite experienced man, and I'm convinced that he'll be more cautious”, said Putin.
This isn't the first time the Russian president has praised Trump: congratulating him on his presidential election victory, he said he was “impressed” by his “courageous” reaction to the attack on him during the campaign.
The Russian leader also denounced the fact that during the political struggle against Trump prior to the US presidential election, “not only was he subjected to humiliating and unfounded lawsuits and accusations, but members of his family, his children, were also attacked”.
“In Russia, even bandits don't do such a thing”, he declared, noting that when Russian criminal gangs fight among themselves, "they don't touch women and children, they leave them alone".
Statements which, if they didn't concern serious matters, would be laughable, so out of touch with reality on the part of the Kremlin dictator who has had his opponents assassinated.
