"The threat is serious," the Polish Prime Minister has just declared, referring to the threat of a global conflict after Russia launched a hypersonic missile against Ukraine.

Poland has deployed two HIMARS multiple rocket launchers. The decision follows the escalation of the conflict in Ukraine, particularly after Russia launched a hypersonic missile against the invaded country.

These systems are not the only ones that Poland has, which acquired 20 in total five years ago. Moreover, the decision comes after Prime Minister, Donald Tusk, spoke last Friday of the risk of a global conflict. "The threat is serious, grave and real."

As for the war conflict itself, he said it had taken on "very dramatic" dimensions, given the latest developments on Ukrainian territory, the US authorization for Kiev to launch long-range missiles against Russia, and the Russian response that followed, with Russian President Vladimir Putin's approval of the nuclear doctrine and the launch of a hypersonic missile against Ukraine.
