NATO fears the worst as Trump returns

Poland has warned that Donald Trump’s return to the White House next year could seriously jeopardize NATO.

Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski urged European countries to take action, as the American billionaire may once again question the military alliance’s structure, given the substantial funding the United States contributes to NATO.

"Europe urgently needs to take more responsibility for its security. The winds of history are blowing ever more strongly. Poland's leadership will rise to the occasion," he warned.

While many European countries are part of NATO, Luxembourg’s Prime Minister proposed creating a European army that would be incorporated within NATO, suggesting an initial survey of potentially interested countries.

Several experts believe that Donald Trump might pull the United States out of NATO once back in office, dealing a severe blow to other member countries who had not anticipated the billionaire’s return.

Donald Trump has also claimed he would end the military and financial aid the U.S. has provided to Kyiv since the start of the war in Ukraine, leaving Kyiv without its most valuable ally.

The future president argued he could end the conflict within 24 hours, thanks to his strong relationships with both Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Vladimir Putin.
