“We can avoid total war”
Outgoing U.S. President Joe Biden thinks a “total war” in the Middle East can still be avoided.
A reporter asked Joe Biden Thursday how sure he was that total war could be avoided, to which the president replied, “How sure are you that it's not going to rain? Look, I don't think there's going to be total war. I think we can avoid it, but there is still a lot to be done,” Biden told reporters. According to Al Jazeera, the US president advised Israel not to launch attacks on Iranian civilian infrastructure, such as oil depots.
