There's a new sherif in town

Donald Trump's promise of peace through strength has been fulfilled with the appointment of his loyal former general Keith Kellogg, as an envoy to Ukraine and Russia.

Kellogg has the reputation of being a “tough” general, and his statements leave no room for ambiguity. At the end of September, at a colloquium for the Richard Nixon Foundation in Washington, he said:

“Every time an administration comes into office you're always tested, deliberately or inadvertently, by someone who is going to test you, and then you have to respond. And the response has to be very tough. It has to be economic, diplomatic and military. It has to send a message to the rest of the world: I won't tolerate this anymore. And there's a new sheriff in town, that's not going to cut it.”

“So the United States needs to have a pretty muscular attitude towards the world, we should be the world's ruling superpower. We should fear no one, and we should make sure that the world understands that when our country speaks, it does so with great power and great force.”
