Embassies hit by Russian missile strikes on Kiev
On Friday, a Russian missile strike killed one person and injured several others and damaged six diplomatic missions in the Ukrainian capital, Kiev.
The Russian military justified the attack as a "response" to a Ukrainian attack on a factory on Russian territory on Wednesday using Western missiles.
In addition, the diplomatic missions of Albania, Argentina, the Palestinian Authority, North Macedonia, Portugal and Montenegro, located in the same building, were damaged, Ukrainian diplomacy said, denouncing a "savage attack".
For her part, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, said that the Russian attack that damaged the Portuguese embassy in Kiev indicates that Moscow has no desire for peace.
