Betrayed, Russia is being looted by an ally
Although Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had described Russia as a "trusted ally" and a "all-weather friend" during a visit to Moscow last July, this friendly relationship now appears to be at risk of deteriorating.
Just a few months later, multiple media outlets have reported that Kyiv has obtained Indian ammunition, which is being used on the front lines against Russian troops.
According to an investigation by Reuters, shells from India’s arsenal were purchased by Italy and the Czech Republic before being sent to Ukraine.
This revelation follows the emergence of battlefield images showing Ukrainian soldiers using Indian-made ammunition against Russian soldiers.
In August, Narendra Modi visited Kyiv for a historic meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Randhir Jaiswal, a spokesperson for India’s Ministry of External Affairs, dismissed reports of Indian ammunition being used by Ukraine as "speculative and malicious" rumors spread by certain media outlets.
